Happy New Year Everyone!
We've had a great start to 2017! We have just completed our second round Lunchtime Sports Tournament that is open for all students in grades 4-8. These sport activities provide teambuilding and problem solving opportunities as students participate in competitive and fun physical activity.
During the second week back from Winter Break, we held our Winter Assemblies to celebrate perfect attendance, positive school culture attributes, and simple reminders of our school goal and vision of Engaging in Social and Academic Learning.
In our commitment to provide a welcoming and inclusive school culture of Kindness, Forgiveness and Understanding, we are introducing a Character Ed Word of the Month with inclusive vocabulary. This is an opportunity to remind us of our empathy and connection with each other as we continue to build a strong caring school culture. Our Character Ed Word for January is Respect, with stems of self-respect, self-control, respect for others, courtesy, trustworthiness, punctuality.
On January 26, the Rotary will celebrate their annual 3rd Grade Dictionary Distribution! We are so grateful to the Rotary for supporting our students as they seek excellence in learning!
Please remember we have a minimum day on Monday, February 6, 2017, and no school on February 20, 2017, for President's day.
