The Big Bear
The Mariposa Elementary School Staff welcome you to the 2014-2015 school year.
2014-2015 will be an incredible school year for the MES community. Students will experience highly engaging lessons through projects and hands-on learning like never before. Teachers will have more collaboration time than ever to plan great experiences for students. Students and staff will have more access to technology and "cool stuff", including a transition to 1:1 devices and 3-D printers. Culture and community will be a major focus, too. Focus on positive behavior and interventions will maximize results for all students while making our school a healthier place for all. Families will experience more information about student progress and receive more meaningful feedback on a daily basis. Our plan is ambitious, but we have the right students, families and staff to make this year a huge success. Join us and be involved. You will want to be a part of what we're doing at MES this year!
Best wishes for 2014-2015,
Permissive Absent Days
The school and teacher MUST be notified prior to a missed school day due to religious, personal, or heritage awareness. A permissive absence is permitted when there is prior knowledge of the absence, work is given to the student, and that work is returned completed the next day back to school. Mariposa Elementary School is excited to celebrate and acknowledge these important days with our students and their families.
