Mariposa Elementary School
Mariposa Elementary School (MES) is located in Mariposa, California.
A rural community in the Sierra Nevadas. As a TK-8 school, MES offers a wide range of programs to promote academic, social, physical, and emotional excellence in our students. We offer after school enrichment programs such as art and music, sponsored by our PCA. Our students enjoy extracurricular activities such as the the ASES program, Girl Scouts, and Project Smile, sports, Club Live, and more.
The Mariposa community is very supportive of MES.
The staff at MES is student-centered and passionate about providing students a high quality TK-8 experience. Our school's success is a testament to the staff's hard work and professionalism and the community's strong support of MES.
This is always a great time of the year, with crispness in the air, and pumpkins and celebrations! We had a great start to our school year at MES! Thank you for your kind support and enthusiasm during this first quarter!
Another focus this year is Growth Mindset. Growth Mindset is when we believe that our most basic abilities can be developed through dedication and hard work—giving our best effort in everything we do, and focusing on possible (instead of impossible).
Great things are coming our way this fall! Please make sure to look at our calendar online. Please remember we have a minimum day on October 24, 2016, and all students will be released at 12:45pm. Red Ribbon Week starts October 24, 2016. We will have our annual Pumpkin decorating contest and our Halloween Parade, so stay tuned for further information!
